How to Package Teeny Tears Items

Below you will find instructions and images on exactly what hospitals expect to receive every time they open a box from our volunteers. Familiarize yourself with what goes in each set and how each one is packaged. If sending items to headquarters, we are happy to receive them packaged or unpackaged. If unpackaged, the headquarters team will compete the packing process before shipment to a waiting hospital!

Bagging Diapers for Donation

When preparing a shipment of 10 diaper sets or 100+ diaper sets you could use 2 methods. Smaller quantities can easily be laid flat in a large gallon ziplock bag, while larger quantities can be filled with a more vertical approach.

(1) Small or large identical diaper sets in smaller quantities can be packaged easily in a gallon sized ziplock bag. Diaper labels help hospital staff know exactly what gestational age is served by these diapers. A staff card is inserted in each bag to tell them where they can request more items, what gestational size our items cover and why we send two identical diapers for each family.

(2) Large identical diaper sets in larger quantities can be vertically packaged in a gallon sized ziplock bag. Similar to example (1) a staff card and label is used to aid hospital staff in knowing what size is best for the littlest of angels. 25-30 diapers can be packaged this way.

(3) Small identical diaper sets in larger quantities can be vertically packaged in a gallon sized ziplock bag. As in examples (1) and (2) a staff card and label is used to aid hospital staff in knowing what size is best for the littlest of angels. 40-50 diapers can be packaged this way.

Staff Card

If you are sending your donation directly to a hospital, you will need to include staff cards with your items. This helps hospital staff know what gestational age our bereavement items fit as well as who to contact when they are running low on items.
